    I enjoyed the Never War much more than the the two previous books in the Pendragon series. This book is more realistic than the other two. It still has many twists and other unexpected adventures, but they are more believable. The majority of this book takes place on First Earth (our past) and it also visits Third Earth (our future). MacHale did an excellent job incorporating some of our history in the story while helping the reader visualize what Third Earth will be like in a couple thousand years. MacHale brought some of the events from World War II back to life. The characters were so real, they didn't have the appearance of fiction. History buffs will like this approach as well as the readers who like the science fiction genre. I usually like the first book in a series better than ...
