      Value for price, but issues

      The peg head tuners work fine, but there is an issue. They were designed only for a standard 1/2" peg head (or less) thickness. If the peg head has an additional laminate or is thicker (measure the thickness) the winding posts are too short for proper string winding (turns around the post) to secure the strings. With a thicker than 1/2" peg head enough string turns around the winding post is not possible to ensure against potential string slippage thus throwing that note out of tune or the string unwinding. Peg head thickness is critical for proper usage. This is not unlike higher quality and more expensive tuners. Some are designed the same way, so peg head thickness is an issue overall.       Worst Tuners ever

      I've made many banjos; from kit and from scratch. These are horrible. They'd make about 1/2 turn then stick on some stripped or jammed gear. Perhaps I got a bad set, but it is hard too believe this passed even the most minimal quality control either by manufacture or retail seller.

      Gear ratio could be a little better.

      They work OK but they are not real smooth to precisely tune but they are much less expensive then most.
