  • Morgan's Run by Colleen McCullough

This is a fantastic book! It is historical fiction and tells about the beginnings of the western colonization of Australia. Vivid details and heart-rending action. It is easy to visualize how Australia started out as a dumping place for prisoners from the west--primarily from England--while reading this book. So many of the prisoners were unlawfully detained at the time, and this book centers around the most heroic of them all.

  • Morgan's Run

At times it is too repetitive and therefore not that compelling
