    value for money

    A very nice model. Clean up the pickups that contact all six wheels and make sure that the tyres are nicely aligned on each wheel so that the engine does not rock from side to side in motion and it is a very smooth unit. Only down side for me is the motor in the one I bought is rather noisy and I do not seem to be able to make it any quieter.

    it worked better triang track not on Hornby track because it kept derailing on cross track's,so i sold the engine to a another train collector.

    Excellent of its vintage

    Bought knowing it was an elderly model, so didn’t have unrealistic expectations. Looks a fair representation of the original and bowls along enthusiastically if rather noisily. Cheap and cheerful, a welcome addition to my vintage stable.

    Showing it’s age,but still runs

    This engine is getting on a bit now and the old lady needed some superlube to get her Running properly, still a bit squeaky but she runs in both directions !
