What is it with the non-bayonet description? The connection with the mixer is obscured in the photo by the white plastic protection disk. This dough hook is a bayonet one, like a light bulb bayonet, exactly what I needed. Took a punt on the description being wrong. Was very relieved when Australia Post delivered and I examined it and then fitted it to my mixer. Excellent!!! Didn't have to return it or chuck it. It appears to be identical to pictures I have seen of genuine Kenwood dough hooks.

The original part I bought had an issue but the seller was responsive and accommodating in making me whole on the purchase. Apparently outside of the sellers control is the price charged by Ebay for shipping, which I think is sort of high given the size of the item, in spite of the distance, so I just couldn t give that 5 stars, but I needed the part, they had it, so the shipping was good enough to get the job done. I would buy from this seller again.

To their credit, the Seller reached out to me proactively today having noted my poor review and said I should have contacted them first (fair enough, however I had gotten things to work using half of the new part and half the old, so I had just moved on), and they offered to refund my purchase, which I appreciate. Assuming it actually occurs I will upgrade my review of this experience because they reached out to me, and I think that is a sign of good customer service.
