Taxi Dog
This was my nephew's favorite book when he was little, and now is one of my daughter's. A stray dog finds a home with a taxi driver and they ride all over New York City together. It is written from the point of view of the dog, and you can really hear his voice in the rhyming text. The pictures are well done, but we do worry about the other cats and dogs in the pictures who may not have homes. Makes the point that all animals need homes and love. This book is a "must have" the pictures by Mark Buehner are well done and colorful. You can find a dog and a hidden cat on every page. The Authors donate a portion of the book's proceeds to The Fund for Animals in New York City.
