I absolutely love this game, I had bought it brand new ages ago, and I sadly lost the game somewhere during a move, strangely enough I still have the box, but no manual...oh well, so I bought it again. As those of you interested in this game know there are two versions of this game, the SNES version and the SEGA Genesis version. Most people would think that they are they same...but they are not, I've played both. The sound, and game levels on the Genesis version are different, sound being of not as good quality and the levels being somewhat different. The game play for both were pretty easy but the SNES version and a few more features involving the jetpack(I'll let you discover them yourselves) that were pretty cool, you also had more places to explore in the SNES version because of the extra features with the jetpack, because you couldn't reach them on the genesis version. Also the enemies in the SNES version are wolves, while the genesis version were lizards if I remember correctly. That however doesn't matter. The graphics on this game are really awesome and Sparkster unlike his first adventure on the genesis(Rocket Night Adventure)sports a new look and hair-cut, you couldn't even see his hair on RNA, he actually looked pretty dorky. Anyway I highly recomend this version of this game and this game in general, to anyone who is looking to buy! You won't regret it. Take it from me, I am 25 years old so I've been playing games a long time. Your never to old for video games despite what others say after all.Read full review
Rocket Knight Adventures, a fine Genesis game, has quite a cult fanbase. But, for some reason, its sequel Sparkster, which had 2 different versions(SNES and Genesis), is not mentioned much. Not sure why, as I like this even more than the original. I'd chalk it up to some console-exclusivity fanboyism. In Sparkster, you play the role of a possum in knight armor who can slash with a sword and use his jet pack to speed across great distances. Sparkster can reach many areas with his abilities and hang on to areas with his tail, as well. The graphics in this game are rich and colorful, and the music is emotionally uplifting. The stages in this game are full of different scenarios and styles, and you can literally blast through them if you are skilled enough. The boss battles in this game are also full of clever challenges. The only part of this game I did not like is the mech boss fight. Although awesome in concept, it is very tough to be able to defeat that mech with any consistency, especially on hard mode. Also, on hard mode, the boss fights are a bit more wild and unpredictable, partially due to the speed of the game and your character's movements. But hard mode is beatable, and you are treated to an extra stage when you get past it. So use a password code to practice against the mech if you want to beat hard mode, and enjoy a quality, challenging, hack 'n' slash platformer.Read full review
Great spin-off game from the Rocket Knight series. This game is a little more like the first game, then the sequel on Genesis (also called Sparkster) was, so the gameplay is definitely more familiar and easy to get into. Highly recommend this game, but don't pay too much for it.

Absolutely great! Challenging SNES game that will keep you hooked! Seems like it should be a Sega Genesis game, but is great on the SNES platform! It feels like Konamis version of Sonic or Mario! I love this game!

Sparkster puts to in the role of the legendary Rocket Knight on a mission to stop an invasion led by one of his own. Fast and high-paced, it's a good game for those who like speed.
