Although communication was good, it was not all that helpful and I wound up throwing the card away. Becareful with Mellanox ConnectX-2 PCIe cards as they can be set to InfiniBand or Ethernet and to switch between (change firmware settings) requires REALLY old software. The one I received was set the InfiniBand. I should have done more research and I wish the listing would have stated so. I would return the item but the shipping cost was 3x the price of the card, so I wouldn't get much back.

The dell R720xd was just as described and in good condition. The memory module sequence seems to be in the right order and all dell firmware and bios was updated to the latest version which is great. I don’t have to go through the hassle of updating anything, and then the listing said that the raid controller was flashed to IT mode, which seems to be on par. 10/10 and customer service was very responsive when I reached out to them. A+ seller ! CON: the internals of the server was quite dusty.
