If you are considering the fourth season of King of the Hill for your DVD collection you are probably already a fan of the show. The fourth season has some of my favorite moments from KOTH. Cotton's horror as he finds out that his newborn son is leaking milk, Connie having her period while staying with the Hills, Hank's thanksgiving turkey being destroyed by a bomb squaud at the airport, Peggy's feet being featured on a foot fetish website, Bobby seeing his female cousin naked for the first time, and the whodunnit murder of a very minor character voiced by Reese Witherspoon. These episodes are great without question but what is up with the special features department? The first two seasons had it all, comentaries, animatics, deleted scences, easter eggs, the whole shebang. But when I purchased the third season it was as if they put the release together the night before it came out. There were absolutley no special features, nada, zilch, zip. The discs were the double sided kind, and the artwork on the packaging sucked. It took only a few months between the first and second releases and we got two awesome sets, but it took another year before the third season was released and we got stiffed big time. But now it is time for season four to be released and I'm getting worried that it will be a repeat of the rush-job we got for season three. I already know it is going to be 3 double-sided discs and it is coming out only 4 months after the previous release. I just hope Fox doesn't do this half-assed. I would be willing to wait a few extra months to get this DVD if it would mean getting it done right.Read full review
King of the Hill is a great show and anyone who took the time to read this review knows that. Great characters, funny stories...you'll love it! Of course this DVD set is great...it has all the episodes of this season in crystal clear quality and all in order. But (and to me this is a biggie) you don't get anything extra by buying the DVD box set that you wouldn't have gotten just by taping the show off TV when it first aired. I like "behind the scenes" stuff. Storyboards, audio commentaries and extras like that and the King of the Hill DVDS has none of that. It's very very disappointing in this regard. They should have taken a page from the Futurama DVD set, which is absolutely chock-full of extras for the fans, and EVERY episode has an audio commentary. Of course, if you hate extras like this on your DVD, then yes, the set is a 5/5.Read full review
Classic Mike Judge! I wish the show could have lasted forever, but without Luanne....not so sure. Season 3 is excellent, the show is in full swing, great redneck satire throughout without any of the awkwardness of the first season and none of the tiredness of the later seasons. The playback quality is good and I don't have to go back to the menu between episodes (it has play all)
I've been a fan on King of the Hill sence day one...every season is great, but this is one of the best. There are some classic Episodes in this season, including one of the best where Hank, Dale, Bill, and Dang ol' Boomhauer are volunteer firemen, those in the know will recognize this episode as a tribute to the three stooges...I highly recomend that anybody who likes King of the Hill collect all the seasons, and particularly this one...
I love King of the Hill!

I liked the Season 3 episodes more than Seasons 2 and 1 put together!!!! It does not get any better than coming home to watch an animated show for the whole family. King of the Hill is way more entertainig than the Simpsons, Family Guy, snd South Park. On top of that it is good clean entertainment for any one of any age as along as they have a pluse and a sense of humor.
