this CD is a true piece of popular music and entertainment history. It dates back just before the British beatle invasion, during the heyday of when the top nightclub singers "ruled" the Las vegas hotel entertainment circuit. the trio Of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis Jr, are terrific individually on each number they perform, and have the audience in the palm of thier hands, and when they join together on the stage they shine even brighter..The comedy bits they inject between performances, are funny, and witty:(Dean Martin:"I dont drink anymore...I freeze it it now, and eat it like a popsickle").some of the comedy bits reminds the listener of the time period, with some of what I would call "innocently prejudiced" overtones, but in listening to the way they are using it, the listener can tell that none of these legendary performers mean any insult to anyone, least of all each other. its a Timeless Rat Pack Classic, not to be missed..Apparently it was well liked enough for a few segments to be used in an episode of "the Sopranos" last season..If you can , get a copy...its truly enjoyable. I give it 5 stars.Read full review
I have seen them all separately. These recordings of the live shows are great. Most of those Rat Pack shows were reserved for the "high roller" vegas gambler. I saw probably one of the last shows Sammy Davis Jr did, before his death. Jerry Lewis and Sammy were in Atlantic City, for the re-naming of one of the hotels to Ballys..... and Sammy could still sing too. I have seen Mr Sinatra 5 or 6 times, but never in Vegas. And I have made it a point to go see the legends, live, at least once. The best shows had Count Basie on the date. This CD is really great for capturing the energy in the room when they were all hot and filling the casinos with happy fans..... back in the 1960s
One of the best live recordings of three of the best artist in their genre at the time. Brilliant and laid back, funny and musical. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This recording is from one of many sets when the three of them performed together. (One can hear Lucille Ball laughing in the audience.) Long before "PC" humour was done on stage. Reminds me of listening to Foster Brooks. Just classic.

This is an album I wish I would have discovered earlier in life, but the works of this group live are second to none. In a time where people stood for things and were not offended as easily, I will cherish this album for many years to come.
