I bought one of these and one of the 3 outlet power strips. The software that is a free download is very good, a bit difficult to understand and lacking in documentation to a degree. Actually the information that I consider lacking may be available but I am possibly not sophisticated enough in the understanding the product terminology to recognize it. The current monitoring and power use data was a complete surprise to me, and I am considering buying some of the power outlets that fit into the walls for a couple appliances, strictly for monitoring power usage. I can see where an individual so inclined could automate an entire home with these devices. I am using the power strip to turn on a computer to use strictly for backups of my main PC via WiFi.I bought one of these and one of the 3 outlet power strips.
