Brand new all the way item. Everything I needed and complete in package. Can view my old 8mm tapes and transfer them onto my computer harddrive with an adapter I bought online to transfer images. This is a replacement for a video camera (the same model) which was stolen from my house in 2002. Bought another model in 2006 but it doesn't have the ability to transfer image from a VHS vcr into it, from other recordings like this does. It has made my week.

This camera has some problems. The picture has lines in it and the image is jumping up an down. It came without a power supply/ battery charger or battery which means I had to buy a battery before I could use it. I will try out the warranty I purchased with the camera and see if it can be fixed ??

This is a neat little first timer camcorder. It is real easy to use with no hard to figure out features. It is real simple none techinical a kid could figure it out. The only thing about it is if you do get one that already comes with everything like your batteries and charger they are alittle pricey for an older camcorder to order a charger from sharp is $120.00 plus shipping. I did a search on ebay and found a wall charger for this model for 24.99 plus shipping that is the only down fall. Other than that it is real simple for anyone. Great for kid wanting to play around at parties and stuff.
Mine was half DOA. Played ok but wouldn't record.Overall,these sharp viewcams are very simple.Many of these models take the same battery and can be purchased here for under $12 Anyone wanting one that has not ever used one,make sure you get:1) Video adapter (1 white jack/1 yellow jack cable to mini pin so you can view it directly on tv.2)Battery charger with the adapter cable so you can use house outlet instead of battery.3) Batteries. These drain quickly when in idle.You'll have to charge them up prior to using.
There was no battery with the product and I have been unable to find the correct battery anywhere, so I have not been able to use the product.
