    Nice basic CD changer

    This unit works well. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some more upscale units have (i.e. especially a remote control), but it does have what you need to play your CD collection well. I purchased this unit to replace a similar Sony unit that I've had for many years. It was starting to skip badly and I didn't want to damage any of my CD's. So I purchased this one and have not been disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that even though it didn't come with a remote, the universal remote for my entertainment system DID work quite nicely. Way to go Sony!

    Oldie but Goody

    CD player arrived quickly and in mint condition with remote, including batteries. It operates perfectly and sounds very good. My only reason for not rating the player as 5 stars is that it does not enable you to select a given track directly by number and only allows an analog connection.

    An oldie but a goody.

    Still a place in this world for a nice CD player vs. compressed mp3s. And this player is a nice one: 5-disc carousel, easy comfortable remote, attractive design, great sound quality.

    Sony excellence

    Even for a 25 year old player, this unit works great! I downloaded the manual from the Sony website. The player sounds great with my amplifier/receiver and all functions work well. Very pleased that I bought this brand.
