    Great supporting cast

    Another version of Victoria's early days that has been eclipsed by the more recent one, but this one is worth watching, if only to see Nigel Hawthorne in one of his last roles.

    PLOT: A & E MINISERIES~ about 18 year old Victoria assuming the crown~ and marriage to Albert~ excellent~ soon to be 18 Victoria~ (excellent) Victoria Hamilton~ stands up to her VERY dominating Mother when she inherits the Queen of England title~ her cousin Albert is being shoved at her in all directions~ but 3 years later she finds she is the one proposing~ to Albert (Jonathan Firth) also excellent) who is not yet in love with the passionate Victoria~ This A VERY WELL DONE CLASSY PRODUCTION~ from the costumes, SETS~ and excellent acting and dialog~ fun here is Albert slowly moving into the role of 'equal'~ 9 children~ and years build a very enduring marriage~ does not drag~ takes on adultry, and looks inside the running of the House Windsor~ 2 DVD set~ SCENE STEALERS ...

    Wonderful classic miniseries on great DVD set!

    My mom told me about this miniseries as one she had really liked when she saw it over twenty years ago on PBS, and she wished she could have it if it was on DVD because my dad likes shows just like it too. So I looked for it and found this great DVD set that is in great condition, was very well-packaged when it arrived, and they are enjoying watching it. Very low price for this rare set!
