    Runs Windows 10 adequately

    Purchased because the latest build of Windows 10 saw the start menu animation running slowly (computer only has built-in Intel graphics). This CPU runs up to 1GHz faster than my previous one as was the fastest supported by the chipset. The user interface is now more responsive. I have another PC with a quad core CPU (same generation) and Nvidia graphics card that leaves this one for dead. But for $20 it'll keep this computer usable for a while.

    Maximum CPU upgrade for iMac late 2009

    Easy installation for maximum supported CPU upgrade on the Core 2 Duo iMac late 2009 (21.5”). The replacement CPU doubles the L2 Cache (6MB), bumps up the bus speed to 1333Mhz and adds 10% increase to each core over the stock CPU. This is a low cost upgrade to give the older iMac a healthy speed bump. Couple this upgrade with maxing out the RAM and replacing the HDD with a SATA II (3G) mSATA SSD for an iMac which is 8 years old but is snappy like a new Mac. Runs perfectly with zero config in macOS High Sierra
