However the claim that they are 9 watts is pure rubbish. I am an electronics tech by trade, so I hooked the light up to my variable power supply. The most power they consume was 3 watts at 11.4 Volts. In comparison a Phillips 5 watt light consumes 5 watts, and works up to 28 volts flawlessly. Also the Phillips light puts out a lot more light than these so called 9 watt lights.
