Excellent workmanship, much better than the plastic one that came on the filter. This is the second time I have changed the valve and gauge, valve head will last forever, gauge can be changed if it wears out. Glad I looked on eBay.

Relief valve it is not.
This has no relief function. It is an air bleed valve with gage. I paid for 3 and received 1. I wrote in about it and that was a week ago... no response yet. The Pentair valve has a spring-loaded relief function, likely to protect the filter housing from catastrophic failure due to high pressure. If this valve has a relief function, it would be by the plastic bleed valve blowing apart, which then did not self-close. However, the brass body is nice and the threads are correct.This has no relief function. It is an air bleed valve with gage. I paid for 3 and received 1.
