James's novel, starring Roy Marsden as Commander Adam Dalgliesh of Scotland Yard, the poetry loving detective who is the hero of most of her detective novels. Here, Commander Dalgliesh must unravel the complex mystery behind the murder of a high profile barrister named Venetia Aldridge (Downie) who is found dead in her office. Unfortunately, Ms. Aldridge made a number of enemies during her time in office, making Dalgliesh's job horribly difficult. Throughout, James's trademark dry wit permeates the script and mixes with the grisly action, making A CERTAIN JUSTICE a wickedly droll murder mystery.
