About this product

Product Information

Battlefield 2: Complete Collection invites gamers to spend some time in the trenches as they work their way through the dirt and marsh of Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2: Special Forces, Battlefield 2: Euro Force, and Battlefield 2: Armored Fury. The focus of Battlefield 2 is on fast-paced, vehicle-enabled, online combat for a large group of players, and supports as many as 64 on a single map. Special Forces focuses on experimental weaponry, high-tech gadgets, and specially qualified operatives. Players can fight as one of six types of Special Forces soldiers: U.S. Navy SEALs, British SAS operatives, Russian Spetznas, MEC operatives, or specialist rebel insurgents. Euro Force and Armored Fury are two booster packs that add extra content into the game. Armored Fury adds three battles maps: one at the Alaskan border, one in rural Pennsylvania, and one designed for fast-paced tank warfare. Euro Force introduces the European armies to the modern warfare and also adds three maps, four vehicles, and seven weapons to the game.

  • Replace Call of Duty?

I belong to a gaming clan that has centered itself around the Call of Duty series. But since the brainfarts attributed to last two releases (World at War, Modern Warfare 2), we are looking for a replacement. I purchased BF2 in hopes of finding that replacement. I was hoping to find a game that had the smooth gameplay, realistic movement and physics of COD. In that arena, BF2 disappoints. But, what I found was a game that offers features that COD doesn't. Such as vehicles, more varied weapons, and the ability to command a squad. BF2 strikes a balance between FPS and strategy giving up a little on both sides to make a complete package. I suppose it could be described as a First Person Strategy. So, will BF2 replace my clan's hub? Unlikely. But we are optimistic that Battlefield: Bad Company ...

  • BattleField 2 Review

Loved it! Very realistic modern warfare game that I truly enjoy. The EAX 5.1 surround effects are really something else, I can hear what direction shots are coming from or where jets and choppers are! You can even hear an unsuspecting sniper bullet missing you, and tell what direction it came from as it whizzes by! Incredibly versatile, so many different things to do like ground infantry/gunner, or sniper with 3 different rifles, or you can fly an apache chopper with a buddy in the gunner seat (thats what my friend and I like to do)... or you can fly a jet! I think theres 9 different jets? and some of them have a 2nd seat for a buddy to fire powerful guided missiles! You can even eject and use your parachute! Heavily damaged jets will catch fire and explode eventually if not ...

  • Good game. Awesome product!

Battlefield 2 is my favorite all-time 1st person shooter game. The physics of the vehicles and the different guns are amazingly accurate, the graphics are great considering this game was released several years ago. They did everything right with this one. I was very hesitant considering the problems with the very first original release of BF 1942 (needed some HUGE patches to get the game to play correctly). However, everything is great with this. The online game play is great and the game is really set up to encourage teamwork and discourages the people that would come on and start team-killing all over the place. Now, if you do that, your ranking will go down. The ranking system on this game is great and really encourages you to continue spending time playing the game. One great addition ...

  • No point getting the complete edition, just download the 1.5 patch.

It's cool to have all the packs on one disk, but now it serves no purpose whatsoever. You are better off getting the deluxe edition of this game as you can download the booster packs as part of the 1.50 patch of BF2. The booster pack on the disk needs a online code, which EA shut down the link awhile back. There is also no more gamespy, which means no online. Battlelog fixes that, and they give you all of your stats back if you remember all the login info. This game is still damn good, just old and a little hard to get if you been playing the new battlefields for a while.
