    My unit is back!

    It does run warmer than other units, it must breathe. The sound is incredible for the price and is the reason I bought it to replace my older model. It works well with my older and new TV.

    This one works!

    This was an exact model replacement of one that I have. My 5 disc player went south. I just did not want to go through putting in another surround sound system, as all 5 speakers were already mounted and it only required unplugging one and plugging the other in. The cost, to me, was worth it.

    Sony Bravia DAV-HDX285 Review

    Pros...The Sony Bravia DAV-HDX285 has good ratings for sound quality and performance that blows other competitors out of the water (with the exception of Bose). If you want a good surround system at the fraction of the cost,check out this system. Cons... Read the manual carefully. (Not user friendly) unless you completely read the manual or have a basic knowledge of programming.
