    Ken Loach.........The voice of reason in Tory Britain

    Riff Raff is an important film that exposes the inequality and exploitation that is still inherent in this country. Although the film was made 25 years ago, it is still as relevant now as it was then. It is also very funny and contains excellent acting from a brilliant cast.

    great performances from Ricky Tomlinson and Robert Carlyle,Poignant reminder of the days of Thatcher, now revisited by Cameron and Clegg, as ordinary people struggle to get by without power.

    Riff Raff

    The harsh reality of Thatcher's Britain is brought to the screen in this gritty, thought provoking and humourous movie. The story and performances in this film are brilliant and the script's pretty good too but I don't think any of Jimmy McGovern's films need them too much - more like docudramas, his movies pretty much speak for themselves, can't imagine anyone being disappointed with Riff Raff, enjoy.
