    Great buy!

    I really enjoy using this book to teach my son signs and how to communicate with me by using them. I like the way the book instructs you on the best way to use it and my son loves to "turn the page" and look at the pictures. It's a hard cover so that makes for easy and safe "page turning" for baby. I hope to see some cool results after using this over time.

    Easy to understand but a bit advanced

    I do have knowledge of ASL, so I already knew all the signs in the book and can't really comment on the ease of fully understanding the way they explain how to do the hand gestures--to me it seems pretty well explained, though. I will say that some of the signs require a bit more dexterity than a young baby--say 6 months old--might be able to do. The book does cover basic signs that would be helpful, like bathroom, milk, house...stuff like that (I gave it to my sister-in-law as a gift, so I can't remember everything in it lol). All in all, I think it's a good starter book for babies to young kids, as an aid to teach them how to communicate....cause as we all know, people's dexterity forms well before their verbal skills do!
