Not a bad table if you are a beginner or casual listener and get all your records at the thrift store, or maybe if you just want to digitize a few dozen songs. Its about the lowest model in their complete lineup that should be allowed to drop a stylus into your collection. Its definitely worth the $20 i paid (used) but I highly recommend an upgrade to the Audio-Technica AT95x cartridge with its elliptical stylus to avoid damaging your records if you have any nice ones. Pros: decent value per cost; quiet operation, wont't wear out your records like the $50 special Crosley/ion cheapo suitcase tables: built in pre-amp for easy connections, high quality S-tonearm with standard 1/2" mount. Cons: Cheap tonearm bearings cause imprecise balancing (and added wear to record grooves); excessive hum (speaker feedback heard again through the speakers--probably from being mostly cheap plastic): extra-cheap plastic platter and felt mat detract from precise speeds and contribute to static electricity and record popping. I use mine in the bedroom with some small powered speakers and its acceptable, but definately not up to par for the discerning listener or any true archiving to digital.Read full review

Thank you. It is practically brand new. I can now add my old stuff from LP to iTunes. I found the newer version of the software and have tested the unit, and it works perfectly. Arrived fast too!!

The turntable is fine, the cartridge and needle is not! It takes a lot of pressure to track properly! It takes about 2 grams to track right where a a good cartridge would take 1-1 1/4grams! The EZ vinyl converter program was almost impossible to get to work on my computer! A friend had to take over an hour to finally get it to work right!

This was easy to set up and connect to the computer. The software loaded without problems. An update of the software is available from the manufacturer to run on current operating systems. I've used it on Windows XP and Windows 7. It operated perfectly to transfer about 50 vinyl LPs to digital. An additional freeware called Audacity was used to edit files after transfer. That enabled transferring 78 RPM records even though the turntable runs at 33 or 45. The turntable output was very good as far as I could tell. It does not filter out scratches or any problems on your vinyl. However, the pops caused by small scratches were easily edited out with the Audacity software. Also a few of my records had some hiss, and that too was filtered out by editing with the Audacity. The filtering did have some impact on the quality. This runs as a real time process for 33 and 45 RPM vinyl, so the time taken is the actual play time of the record. I find it the most useful for albums that cannot be purchased as CD or other digital formats. If the album is available for purchase in digital format, they will be better quality in the commercial media than can be achieved with the consumer transfer processes. The transferred file can only be as good as your vinyl unless you are willing to spend the time with the editing software to improve the quality. In most cases, my old vinyl had more flaws than I recalled. However, I am glad that I bought and used this to transfer my vinyl. They serve as a backup, and I also now seldom get the vinyl out to play it.Read full review

Better than expected for a very light weight platter. Cartridge fidelity is OK but will change to a Audio Technica V95 or Ortofon Red for a smoother sound.
