Worth the money, if you're willing to put some time into it.
These are great when you can get them for $40 or under. They are old, so to get the most out of them, it's best to replace the electrolytic caps. I've been replacing the capacitors, mechanical plugs (headphone, etc), changing LED's to be a bit more modern, as well some other modifications to improve the sound quality. When updated, these are well worth the money. You won't get the same performance for modern DSP units, but you'll get more for your money with these old DSP40 units. It's okay but way over-priced
Audio quality is satisfactory. CW filter is good, SSB filter is poor, autonotch is excellent. Monophonic headphone jack doesn't work correctly and will send more power to one ear than the other (it doesn't short both contacts fully). My recommendation? Go for timewave - Max price for this unit? $50
