    Very good camera

    I've been using this camera for about a month now. So far I have only been recording on to tapes. I have not yet tried pulling the video off for post-production editing. Sony Just released though a new version of Vegas (version e) that supposedly now supports what the HC7 recording format is in (Sony proprietary). My experience with the camera itself is good. It seems to capture very crisp video, and does ok in low light (I'm sure I'll get an on camera light for it though). For more information on this camera, check out the following site.     Get 'm While you Can !

    There is no better MiniDV transfer cam then this at today's prices. Use it as a 1080 HD video cam as it stands, or for a transfer cam for your SD MiniDV's or your HD 1080 MiniDV's. If you want reliable video that will outlast your average SD card, then Digital 1080 HD may be the way to go. Digital HD tape will never give you a file error, or freeze on you. Flash memory cards degrade from the inside. Static electricity, corrosion, expansion and contraction of the tiny printed boards in-cased in plastic is not a forever thing. They have an average life expectancy of around 10 years. The language is zeros (0) and ones (1). If some, or enough of these get corrupted, missing due to static electricity, of just disappear, your recorded video could be compromised. Properly stored tape, can last ...

    Great value for the money

    This is an excellent camera and a great value for the money. It takes excellent video, even in low light. Photos are not as great, but are certainly acceptable. The camear records onto the small digital casette tapes, but it is easy to transfer the video to a computer with inexpensive software.

    Worthless without power cable

    I do not recall anywhere in the listing that mentioned this camcorder comes without a charging cable. I cant even verify if this camera is in good working order without spending another $20 on a cable. Also the lcd screen is SMASHED. None of these issues are mentioned in the listing.

    Great Camera.

    Great camera. I haven't used it very many times so far, but I am very happy with the video quality. The night shot feature was a nice plus to the other features of this camera.
