    Awesome Find o Ebay...!

    I bought these to go with a used Metal Detector I got locally. Brand name M/D headphones are terribly overpriced..! The Koss QZ-99's worked flawlessly and even the used, the owner took good care of them because they were just like new. These Koss QZ-99's are full over-the ear coverage which block out ambient noises like passing vehicles, airplanes, etc., I like that because it means less distractions..! If you Metal Detect, forget the high priced headphones, get yourself some of these babies, they're great...!

    Lacks true ambience sounds, music and tv sounds horrible and like tin.

    Sound is that of a cheap and small headset. Not natural sounding, bass and mid range is not there. Only one frequency and blocks quality of sound from laptop and Yamaha Stereo Receiver. Surprised this is a Koss headphone, not quality like I expect from Koss Headphones. I may have got a defective pair. I read good reviews on these. The one I got is not good at all. One side is lacking volume on the side with the volume control even on stereo setting. Comfort lacking, across the top of my head hurts from the band pressing hard after a few minutes.

    great for detectors. Even works for hearing protection.

    sound quality is adequate. the low end is attenuated, but still there. These are not for listening to music, although they would dowel ok with appropriate bass boost. the sealing off of external noise is excellent. these are as good as ear muffs for hearing protection. better than 30 db external noise reduction. I could see they would be excellent for acoustic leak detectors, or metal detectors, or ultrasonic treasure finders.

    Koss QZ99

    Perhaps the only headphones for drummers that really dampen perfectly. (unlike Vic Firth, and the like). Sound quality and gain is not the best, but sufficient. They are a little heavier, but it's a fee to flawless sound insulation.

    Great headphones
