    Captain America shield came earlier than expected and is amazing! There was a layer of oil (that came off on everything it touched) on it to protect it during shipping (per the listing). I asked the seller what kind of oil and how best to remove it, they responded to use a clean dry cloth with light pressure. I ended up using a clean wet cloth with soap and it came of just fine. Thanks!
