    Different, but in a good way!

    Liberties were taken with the original version, however, the scope of this production expands the ideas behind the period in a vivid and somewhat rewarding way. The characters, of course, are engaging, given the talents of the casting crew. My only complaint with this version is that the credits go by too fast. It would have been helpful if the actor's role had a timely spaced name under it, to make clear the individual talents of this company of actors. Having bought the second series, I had to have the part one, and now the subsequent parts. Costuming is imaginative, if not authentic looking. The swordplay and battle scenes are a credit to the advisors. The Czech setting looks convincing as well, and the music supports the action.

    Derring-do!

    Exciting, swashbuckling, and keeps you attentive.! Characters are developed, and as you get to know them, each are interesting. Their comraderie and interfacing with each other keeps developing and gets better as the story line goes on. I love this series and I also love the excellent quality of each of the actors acting abilities.
