A very simple, perfect tool for a special purpose.

Un able to disassemble "Freewheel" sprockets, (casette") without it and it worked exactly like it was suppose too. The bike, (Schwinn 5 speed) was hanging in a tree for at least a decade with a good size branch growing right through the main framework of the bike. I had to cut the branch off to get the bike down. I needed to remove the sprockets in order to replace a few broken spokes and this tool was exactly what was required...Shipping was GREAT, ordered tool on Monday, received it on Thursday!!!! It's been almost 60 years since I worked on a bicycle and the website and tool were the perfect solution in my efforts to bring this old jewel back to life... Thank you, Ray

      • Excellent freewheel remover!

This freewheel remover was exactly what I need for my vintage bicycle. It worked perfectly. The hole in the middle was very helpful in that I didn't need to remove the bolt from the hub, and I could just slide this tool right over it. My freewheel was on pretty tight (as they all are), and when I put the freewheel remover on it and started trying to turn it with a wrench, I never felt like it was going to strip out. As I didn't have a chain whip, to put the freewheel back on, I hand tightened it onto the hub, put the wheel back on the bike, then held the brakes and put pressure on the pedals which tightened the freewheel with the chain. Thank you Park Tool for your great products and thank you Trail This for selling this tool to me for a reasonable price!

      • Nice tool to have

Worked great! I’m tired of leaving reviews without getting paid or discounts. I wouldn’t have bought this if I didn’t think it was a good tool. Anyway it took an old freewheel off of a 70s era Schwinn bike. Don’t even think you’re getting pictures to look at.

      • Great tool perfect for my job.

I was not sure if it would work , I placed the tool on the freewheel and applied pressure with an adjustable wrench and it loosened right up . I was able to effect a repair and the tool helped a lot I recommend it for most Schwinn applications. it worked very well. Thank you Stephan

      • Park Tools are of good quality

I received this tool, and it was obviously too small for my freewheel. Turns out early singrays used this one, while my later Stingray uses a bigger splined freewheel. My fault, but I'll keep this one. Never can have enough tools.
