    So much better than the new D5S with the leaky nozzles

    This DeoxIt D5S in the original can, with the original nozzle, is excellent. I've been through 4 - 5 cans of it and it works great and the adjustable "LMH" nozzle works fine as well. So much better than the D5S available now with a funky nozzle that leaks and wastes 1/2 the can. I'm going to buy another one of these original cans of D5S, as I won't be buying any more with the "new and improved" nozzle.

    Old vs new DEOXIT D5

    The version that I bought is the old/original version. It is a vastly better design compared to the “new version” because it allows you to adjust the strength of the spray from low-medium-high. This ensures that you always use the perfect amount without over-spraying (which could damage the product.) Overall a great find since these original bottles are now discontinued!! A+++++*

    A+. In general some Caig DeoxIT D5 users have complained that the nozzle does not hold the 'straw' sufficiently. I've found the mating to be less than a positive fit. However with great insertion force the tube seems to hold in the nozzle OK. Time will tell if fit is tight enough to hold during use.

    Excellent!

    I used this product to clean the gears on my 1966 Corvette’s mechanical clock. All of these eventually stop running due to a build up of contaminants on the moving parts. A gentle spray of solution and then air before the solution evaporated left the mechanism clean and running smoothly, avoiding having to send it off for a professional restoration.

    lucky find

    The nozzle on the new cans is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. It's brilliantly designed to get the least amount of cleaner in/on the component, and the maximum amount of waste with over-spray everywhere else. HEY CAIG!! ARE YOU LISTENING?! I was lucky to find some of the old adjustable type at a decent price.
