Tropico 5 introduces multiplayer modes to the popular construction sim series as gamers once again serve as the dictator of their very own tropical island. The single-player campaign begins in colonial times and finds gamers advancing through the World Wars and the Great Depression, serving as a dictator during the Cold War, and then moving on to the modern era. In the role of El Presidente, players can appoint various family members to key positions and invest in them to unlock new traits, and they can also research and renovate a variety of buildings to bring the island up to date.<br><br>Gamers can explore their island to locate valuable resources or ancient ruins that may help with tourism, while an advanced naval trade system lets them build a fleet of ships and become wealthy through trade with island neighbors or world superpowers. For the first time in the Tropico series, players can join friends for competitive or cooperative multiplayer action, with up to four gamers choosing to build their own cities and share resources, or declare war on one another.<br><br>Available to customers who pre-order Tropico 5 at select retailers, the "Limited Special Edition" includes an in-game bonus El Presidente costume and Bayo del Ofalto map. A FANTASTIC sequel to Tropico 4, but also perfect as an entry to the series!
Fantastic additions in gameplay over Tropico 3 and 4! A perfect sequel in the franchise; it keeps what's perfect and It dosen't feel old or laboured. It also adds a nice tutorial feature over Tropico 4, in that it nicely divides up what you need to know about the new addition in the game over several smaller tutorials. The graphics are awesome, and there are a wonderful mix of new buildings over Tropico 4 that add extra dimensions and flavour. Its just great!
