It is the entire content of the TV series that ran in 1949, whereas the first set I bought was not exactly the same. I saw it first run when I was a child and was impressed at the time, although I didn't know the full impact of its content until years later. It is also a better copy from a technical aspect, well reproduced, though with the usual indications of age and wear.
Produced just 4 years after WW2 and televised in the early fifties, the footage, and the narration based on Eisenhower's book, takes back a generations' contribution to the touch point of history as the net positive, heroic fight that it was. I'm pretty over counter-culturists re-inventing our history, and will take this over any modern book or fictionalization of WW2.
I hadn't seen this in so many years, so it is amazing to see it again and it is good quality, and now it is at my finger tips to watch any time. Hours of enjoyment.
