About this product

Product Information

A first-person account of one woman's experiences in the SAS. The 14 Intelligence Company was the cover name adopted by a secretive unit set up by the SAS during the early 1970s to conduct surveillance operations in Northern Ireland. Using techniques developed by the SAS and military intelligence over the years, they succeeded in taking the war to the IRA with devastating effect over the next 20 years. This unit recruits and trains women on a basis of equality with men. Sarah Ford describes the rigorous physical and psychological training she underwent, the missions she went on and what it was like being a young woman in the most macho world of all.

First-rate seller. Good communicator. Helped me, as a fairly recent newcomer to Ebay, to settle up for a multi-buying format purchase, with clear and concise guidance. Items received in super-quick time, well-packaged, and exactly as described. Very pleased with value for money. Looking forward to future dealings with this seller.

It looks amazing as arrived, great seller for model with true description. This seller is great and if there is another good priced model like this then I would definitely buy again. Packaging was also a highlight to this seller as the box came intact and the model was secure in the box. Thanks mark for a great model. Only issue I had was with a couple glue marks which weren’t too much trouble.

Do not understand the need for 7 days. item arrived well packaged. as described, and excellent Value Postage has nothing to do with how the seller conducts his business. Even though Royal Mail is doing its best to murder this hobby.

  • SAS undercover

I didn't know that women worked undercover with the SAS very hard training for a few brave women. Although not part of the regiment they face the same privations and danger. To pass the vigorous training and physiological tests mean you are a very special person. All the way through the book the author showed that she had to be at peak fitness and mentally alert to compete in what would normall be considered a mans world. Having to prove herself all the time in a male environment where most are expecting you to fail the author has shown that she is indeed a very special person. The book is totally obsorbing from the very first page to the final chapter.
