It's a good book to help you learn different things to do with a lathe. Some of the pictures could be better.

  • Written by a Brit for Brits !

This book is hard for me to understand basically because all references to measurements are in metric and after 63 years of using our system I ain't about to change!. Words are used such as "whilst" that we just don't use in the US and many phrases that are foreign to Americans. Some words are spelled differently such as "centre" instead of center. I'm sure the gent who wrote this book is or was a good machinist but I just don't "speak his language". I do not recommend this book if you are not very familiar with metrics and the way our British cousins speak.
