Microsoft Does It Again!
Brilliantly designed little device which turns your television into a wireless display. So simple to plug both ends of the cable into a free HDMI and USB port, and that's it! Your phone or laptop or whatever compatible device can now use the television as a second display. There's a little input lag so maybe not suitable for gaming, but absolutely brilliant for everything else. Not a Wireless Display device. This is a Miracast device - and works well.
I had thought that this was a Wireless Display (WiDi) device, but it's not. It's actually a Miracast device. Since WiDi is an outdated standard I'll see if I can make this work with my older laptop which has an updated AC 7260 LAN card.
