Vangelis - "Nocturne" Fascinated by space and having previously collaborated with NASA, Vangelis, the godfather of electronic music, releases a new album inspired by nighttime, along with solo piano versions of his best-loved hits, including the Chariots of Fire and Blade Runner themes. Tracks will be released at nightfall throughout the winter, tying in with moon cycles and key events in the astronomical calendar.

    Majestic and beautiful, arguably the best recording of Vangelis's career.

    To describe Vangelis's Nocturne takes one word - -gorgeous! The music is expansive and majestic, deeply emotional and reflective. Whether it is a solo piano piece or an orchestral reimagining of his classics, the music is always warm and immersive. The album is a perfect blend of classical and cinematic, just listen to Moonlight Reflections, Intermezzo, or To the Unknown Man. Vangelis's reinterpretations of his masterpieces like Love Theme from the Blade Runner and the Main Theme from Chariots of Fire sound fresh and more sophisticated. Through the Night Mist is a highlight of the album for me: the gorgeous string arrangements and haunting piano, the music envelops you. Absolutely beautiful! I have the album on LP and CD. While LP sounds warmer, I prefer listening to it on CD, simply ...
