  • One of the best

Everyone who loves this show agrees that NBC dropped the ball when they dropped the show. The writing is so fine; acting, production all excellent. It may be even better than "Homicide: Life on the Street," if that's possible.

  • Boom and bust

"Boomtown" suffered the curse of being mostly ahead of its time. Cable networks weren't the power that there are now, and network audiences were still mostly looking for conventional fare. "Boomtown" and its frequent "Rashomon"-type storytelling didn't find a large enough audience. It wasn't perfect, but it was an interesting attempt, and worth a view.

  • One of the best shows ever on television

Obviously too much thought process was necessary to watch this program hence cancellation was it's only fate.
