However, the dress was packaged appropriately (probably should have added a dryer sheet or something to get the smell out) and shipped well. I honestly do not know what the smell could have been but I have never had clothing around smoke. It is a consignment piece, so an odor I did not detect has to be it. I do take great care in all that I do so I feel terrible that there was an odor! It is the cutest dress and I hope the odor does come out.
