  • It's great for when you have to wait somewhere

I've been driving a friend to work, and they start 30 minutes before I do. So after dropping them off I go to my job and I'm in the parking lot in my car. Anyway, the half hour pretty much vanishes. However, this product is the newer PCH 2001. It's screen isn't as great and vibrant as the older PCH 1001. There's a clear difference in quality. But, it is smaller, and it seems to have a long battery life. It feels somehow less fragile than the older model (I have both.)

  • Most under rated system ever!

I love my vita! It's quickly becoming my new heavily used device, don't get me wrong, it doesn't replace my 3ds, because where else would I get Mario and monster hunter, however it has so many games and it's fast at streaming video. Despite not having a you tube app its adequately fast and so there's little need for one. This thing is snappy and graphics are good, the battery life is suprisingly long! Overal a worth while purchase. Only downside is the memory cards 40$ for a 16gb is rediculess. Next iteration should not support this type of card. Other than that I'm singing its praises!

  • An underrated little handheld system for relatively cheap!

The Vita system itself was excellently packaged, having been wrapped up in bubble wrap. However, it was shipped with an incompatible cable, with it being USB-C while the Vita had a Micro USB port. I also took a moment to confirm that the 16 GB Vita memory card mentioned on the listing was indeed installed into the system on initial inspection. That mistaken cable wasn't a deal-beaker, as I had a spare micro USB cable sitting around, and I was able to use it in tandem with a Samsung power brick I had handy to recharge the Vita, as the battery had been totally drained on initial unboxing. While the Vita was charging, I decided to do a quick test of the buttons to see how they feel, and they felt good on first impression. The sticks also felt fine as well. After a bit of charging, I was able to run through initial setup, play the built-in Welcome Park game for a bit, and download a few free games off of PSN. However, the Vita was oddly picky about what cable I used to charge it... Initially, it gave up on charging after a few minutes, but swapping to a different cable and power brick I had sitting around, it charges up just fine. After the Vita charged up to full, I'm happy to report that the battery seems to be fine on first impression. The touch screen, all the buttons and the two sticks, and the back touch pad are all operational, as I had no issues playing the few games I've played on it thus far. Hacking the Vita system to further unlock its potential went smoothly, and I was able to use an SD2Vita adapter I got off of Amazon to expand its storage more easily compared to how I would've needed to pay out the nose for a high-capacity Vita memory card.

  • Excellent little gaming powerhouse

Amazing little game console with a stellar library of games. It's a shame that Sony abandoned the platform, but there's still a loyal fan base for the Vita, and still many games in the library I haven't played yet.

  • Ps vita.

I love this system. Great graphics and good controls. There's a lot of good games available too. Really wish Sony wasn't stopping support for the system.

  • Mainly purchased for ps1 classics

So far I have been super impressed with this little machine. Great battery life, not terribly uncomfortable but can get a bit crampy after a few hours, and some cross buy options. I would do a little research before getting certain Indies and ps1 classics as some of them are bad ports. Update 2/26/21: Still working very well with great battery life after heavy use!

  • System was pre modded and ready to roll ...

System was pre modded and ready to roll with the Vita adapter. Charging cable included is plenty of length to charge wherever. The included case is an Amazon clone but that's fine as long as it's solid. Overall a good buy. Now I can play a lot of my games on the go. Just wish Sony had added 2 more shoulder buttons instead of a touchpad on the back. :P

  • PS Vita

I am a disabled Veteran, and spend a lot of time in the VA hospital seeing doctors and such. I decided to get a portable system so waiting would not seem so long. I looked at all of the options out there. A lot of people say the Vita has stagnated and will never go far, but the majority of the owners wrote that they loved their systems. I have played on the PSP before, and I have seen all of the problems with UMD drives and overheating. I went with the Vita because it has games cartridges similar to an SD memory card, less moving parts equals less friction/heat and longer life span. Once it had a full first charge, I started it up and found it extremely easy to configure. It recognized my wifi WPA and connected without problems. After a system update, I installed a game into the slot and have played it every day since. I have 12 games, and all play flawlessly with great graphics. The latency is unnoticeable if it is even there, and streaming with my PS3 is just as fast wirelessly as with a usb cable. Playing a graphic intensive game will give about 3 1/2 hours of battery life non stop, and will continue playing while charging. There are surprisingly quite a few PS3 games they will give you a free Vita download with through the PSN Store. Get one yourself if you want a new portable system, you wont regret it.
