It is a little pricey; however, you get what you pay for and this is now a HiFi device set for studio quality quiet. And it is D-E-A-D quiet for me! Condition appears to be a new-out-of box modded EQ so it is what it is. Appearance is also brand new. Thx to the Griffin Effects Folks - this will get plenty of use and my guitars all sound like a blanket has been lifted off all of the amps I use it with.

    Not noise free but guessing les than 1/3 of the noise & hiss from a stock pedal. If you use a Boss GE-7 EQ Pedal YOU NEED THIS MOD. Tones are also much better !!

    If I only had ONE pedal…. This is the one

    Boss pedals are great all by themselves and need no real introduction ever!! But this pedal was sent to XTS for immediate modification to an all midrange frequency sweep that Tom Buckovac uses and the pedal is now quiet and makes any guitar louder and better as it accentuates frequency the guitar like to sit in the mix. So when I solo… it gets used, but also, if you had one guitar to use , you can make any guitar sound like a Tele, Les Paul, Strat or even a filtertron pickup by shaving or adding just the midrange. This pedal even makes dull old speakers sound crisp and bold and bright again…. It is really hard to turn this pedal OFF… makes all your note clarity bloom and just so much better.

    Excellent Mod Tone Magic and Detail EQ Tailoring

    This Modest Mike mod is amazing. I have been playing for more than 45 years and own numerous guitar tube amps. The modded Boss GE-7 is a tone magic pedal that allowed me to dial in detail EQ to shape the amp tone to my preferrence. Strongly recommended.

    You need this!! Greater than it looks!!! Fine tune you're tone!!!

    need better tone definition? this is what you need to smooth things out!!! remove the high pitch and add more bass or mids easily!! or just remove them totally!!
