Works good but meanwile this tool have against the photo no half round cavity, so the reachable deep is not as large. I saw this detail on photo and this was part of my decision...now I'm disapointend a little bit..

This is a really nice tool for the price. I have used it on a 10" lathe to cut off plastic parts about 7/8" in diameter and it works great for that. The finish on the cut off sides is good enough that the parts need no further machining to provide a good appearance. I expect the included 10 inserts will last me almost forever, and no need to resharpen.

I have needed a tool like this for years now. However the sizes have mostly been too large for my 14" lathe. I was glad to find this tool. It is great quality. Does the job with greater speed and accuracy than my tool steel one. I do need to find some inserts that have an angles cutting face. Shipping was fast. No problems. I will be ordering again.

Not very good for cutting softer metals, almost impossible to cut aluminum as the toolbit grabs usually 4-5 mm into the work. As for steels, seems to work fine.
