My player is in excellent shape until the belt broke. I searched You tube and found out how easy it was to just replace the belts. I even found one that showed a much easier way to replace them by simply removing the cover and the entire back which is one piece. You can reach both belts easily from the rear. Check the You tube videos. I also chose to pay a little more and get the Sony three belt set. I just taped the door belt inside the case for future use. Always replace both drive belts.

Simple product, worked great, I saved two CD Players using these. A bit tricky to install, but you tube videos were a huge help, may not have attempted the fix otherwise.

CD player now works again
ordered these belts after seeing on youtube that CD player non-operation was probably result of defective belts. opened up the player and sure enough at least one of the belts was stretched beyond use. then ordered the belts and paid extra for genuine Sony belts, thinking better to use them as originals had lasted over 10 years. when belts arrived, promptly and properly packaged, I again opened up the player and everything went onto the pulleys easily. Fixed my Sony CDP-CX355
Exactly what I needed to repair my player, along with the belts also came a printout explaining how to replace the belts, although useful I used a couple of YouTube videos to accomplish the task. The process is not difficult, but pack your patience, it can take quite a while. I actually have 3 of these Sony disc changers and wish good luck to anyone willing to take on the task. My number one tip, empty the changer before trying to replace the belts.
