easy read of enduring love in a remote cornish village
A lovely read, based on an enduring love story in cornwall, whilst surviving on a meagre living growing daffodils on a small plot of land, living in a rundown old farmhouse. - the good life. This is from a famous series of books, based on the author's true life experience of leaving glamorous careers in London to live out a meagre but fulfilling life in a remote coprnish village.

A Gull On The Roof
I meant to read this book and others by Derek Tangye, years ago but never got round to it. The wait was worth it as anyone with a decent knowledge of West Cornwall, especially from the 50’s onwards, will enjoy its local flavour, the taste of the sea and the hardship of being a small, market gardener. I loved it and raced through it, as always, reluctantly finishing a good read. I can heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to sample the flavour of life in West Cornwall.
