Said "back stock" but did not come with a box or any of the typical paperwork or information. Looks more like a used un-boxed/demo item??

  • Awesome underrated mic, should be the "Industry standard."

I have two actual rt1 mics already and have replaced a capsule in a cheap digital reference mic with your rt1 capsule. My bandleader now uses this as his main announcement and trombone mic. I LOVE this mic and capsule, it is so good on female vocalists, especially those with prominent upper mids. In fact, both the trombonist and several vocalists who have used the mic or modified mic gave the review that it made their performance much easier, feeling as if they didn't have to work hard, and that the mic was extremely responsive to anything they did. I also used them recently for a golf concert on a female and male vocalist, and again, just stellar. This male vocalist was a true "folkie" and no doubt a ribbon mic would be a great choice on him in the studio, so this mic was perfect live. ...

  • Great Mic for Horns, Lives up to Ribbon Tone

I now own 6 of these. I have been using them for brass and wind instruments for the last 5 years for live recordings. There have been several releases all have been well received. Performance is much better than a SM 57 or 58 for the same purpose. I have plenty of experience with ribbon microphones since the 70's, given the delicate nature of most ribbon mics, these are an excellent choice for live applications. The value is great, I have a couple of the B stock versions and I can't tell the difference in the recordings. I routinely record saxes, trumpets and trombones in a swing orchestra. My only criticism is that the stand adapters could be better but for the price, you could afford several replacements.

  • outstanding mic!

reflecting back after 10 years of on-the-air radio experience and 30 years as a sound engineer/event producer, you can imagen how many mics crossed my path, with a variety of situations. also, my electronic technology background has taught me the difference between knowledge and information. ok, so why does this mic earn a 5 star rating? simple, "it does what it says." they're too many "58" wanna be's on the market that all sound the same, mostly due to cupping and swallowing mic techniques. the RT1 sounds and performs like a smooth and accurate expensive mic...without ragged high frequencies and ribbon fragilities. i use it on horn instruments, strings, wood winds, lecterns, and voice-overs. back slightly away from it and let the mic do it's magic. the price point is very reasonable. ...

  • B-Stock ones are FINE

Mine the capsule was slightly crooked but I highly doubt a millimeter or 2 you’d ever know the difference. Sounds great on my amp.

  • Meh

Idk man. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised for how cheap it is. But it DOES say wider range than sm58....so I just kinda thought it might sound at least kinda as clear lol
