Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Scanners
Recently acquired one of these scanners in excellent shape. Tested the resolution at 35 mm with the USAF 1951 resolution target and the unit still does about 4000 dpi. I am using it mostly for MF 6 x 4.5 and 35 mm Widelux panoramic film scans. I am using it with the OEM Minolta scanning software on a legacy Win XP system, and the software functions well. I like the OEM software because you can manually focus anywhere on the image. The downside is there is no longer any repair or maintenance support as you find with the Nikon products. But it is a fraction of the cost of Nikon MF scanners, and is considerably better than any MF flatbed scanner currently produced. Also, finding one of these in good shape with all the scanning fixtures is not easy. There is an EBay vendor selling the various MF masks if you don't have them, but you still need the MF scanning trays and there is no independent source for these if you don't get them with the scanner. Another nice addition (if you can find it) is the Scanhancer. These are out of production and a real plus if you can find one with one of these scanners.Read full review
