I bought this amp because of the versatility it seemed to possess. I was not disappointed. I've been using the Fender Fuse software with this amp and there are no limits as to what you can create. With the various amp models and effects, you can create any tone or sound you want. Plus, with the online community you have accesss to hundreds of presets that are already set to go. There were many tones on this amp that don't fit my playing style at all and I was able to replace them with tones that I will actually use. Also I realize this is a practice amp, but if you're playing in a more confined area or smaller building, this amp puts out enough sound to allow you to gig to your heart's content. In the future I plan on upgrading to a Mustang III or IV, but for the time being this Mustang I give me enough to play with. I've only had it for a week and have barely scratched the surface. I also own a Fender Champion and Marshall MGCFR, both of which are excellent products, but this one blows both of them away because while it can sound just like my Marshall, it has many other amp models and can sound whatever you want it to sound like. I feel like a kid in a candy store with all the features this has. I would recommend it to anybody who has the patience to take the time to learn this in depth. The particular model I purchased on Ebay was used but you could never tell it. It was in pristine condition and I'm extremely please that I purchased this product.Read full review
I can't say enough good things about this amp. After not playing for several years I decided to start playing again and bought this amp. I am so impressed with all of the features this comes with. Built in tuner, 24 programmable settings, USB port, etc. I downloaded the software and have played around with the different effects and can't believe how many different effects there are. You could spend countless hours just playing around with different effect combinations. While the sound isn't perfect, I would say for a $115 amp this is above average in all respects. If you are looking for a great beginner amp, especially for a teen, this is the way to go. Young adults/teens/tech savvy individuals will undoubtedly love all of the different ways you can use this amp...especially when you download the free software (codes included with amp for free downloads). Bottom Line: This is an awesome amp with no downsides.Read full review
I purchased this amp for practice at home, and it is ideal for that task. It models many different amplifiers, plus cool effects like wah, distortion and reverb. Paired with the free Fender Fuse software, any sound you desire can be saved and downloaded via the USB connector. It has plenty of power for inside practice and possibly for some small outside gigs There is not a lot of bass from the 8" speaker, but mids and highs are strong. For the price, it is a great amp.

I bought this amp for a simple practice/warm up amp,but it has proved to be way more than that! The amp is well made, has a stylish retro look, and sounds excellent. For reals! This Fender Mustang I is a modeler amp, made to duplicate several different amp models. It does this impressively well on the clean channels, with some very realistic tube tones. The overdrive models lose their flavor and personality, but not the clean amp models. The built in effects, especially the reverbs, chorus and delay are as good as can be asked for. It also comes with a USB port for downloading even more effects, and some of them are plain awesome. I actually prefered this over Line 6 and Peavey amps in same price range, although those are also good products. There is nothing to dislike about this amp! Plus,it's pretty darn loud for such a small amp. Nice that I've been able to use it to records some very tasty tracks, too. The cleans really shine on playback. I recommend the complete Fender Mustang guitar amps to any one wanting a solid state amp that has some serious tube sounding mojo.Read full review
Great practice Amp! Still playing with all this amp can do. Software is ok, but have a pedal setup so don't need/use it. Has plenty of power for only 20 watts and an 8" speaker. Suits my needs for playing in small studio.
