While there is no story--you simply duel Yugi over and over--it is still, in my opinion, a great game. I find it very entertaining, and was very impressed with the graphics of the game, in terms of the card detail. However, there are several things buyers should know: firstly, you only duel Yugi. That is it. You can either do a single duel or a match, and which option one chooses determines how many cards they are awarded in the case of a victory (one for duel, three for a match). Also, when you start out, you have an extremely low quality deck. The cards are fairly weak, which would not necessarily be a big problem if Yugi didn't have a great deck right from the get-go. It can be somewhat frustrating trying to eke out victories against an opponent with better cards who has a knack for assembling Exodia and winning automatically--often just as you gain the upper hand. However, with each duel you are awarded cards and, slowly but surely, are able to beef up your deck. The only cards available are those in Legend of Blue Eyes, the starter decks (Yugi, maybe others) and some cards from other packs that are staple cards of Yugi's (Mirror Force from Metal Raiders). I found the challenge of having to win against the overwhelming odds a plus, though, as it really helps hone your skill, and gets you thinking creatively. Another plus is there is no duelist level ranking or anything like that, so if you get a card, it can go straight in your deck (having played Sacred Cards nearly to death, the biggest frustration was often getting a great cad and not ranking highly enough to use it). It is a game that, without a story, is still fairly entertaining and great practice for duelist looking to hone their skills. Also, the one card per duel rate makes it so that it takes quite a long time to win enough cards to beef-up your deck and win consistently. So this is a fun game, great graphics, very engaging, and will have you playing for quite some time. I highly recommend this game. Also, if you buy it new, the cards that come with it are a nice bonus. They are very useful, which often isn't the case with the video game pack-ins these days. However, buying it without the promos is still worth the money, especially considering how much less it costs used. A great game.Read full review
I bought this for my 7 YO grandson that was a Yu-Gi-Oh fan. He loves it! It has become his favorite game, and with it, he now understands the battle rules better, and can play the game with his cards and have more fun! My grandson is now 8; I bought another one, since he has worn out the other one. He loves it!
great pc game, my 6 year old son absolutely loves playing it. Great for any Yugi fan. duel with yugi and friends. its a great way for younger players to learn how to properly (duel) play the game! Easy set up and easy play if even my six year old can do it.
Used to play this game when I was in highschool. Great to relive my childhood.

A fun beginner game for new yu-gi-oh players. Starting the game is difficult because the beginner deck is really bad and you can't get new cards except by using your bad deck and winning. The bad thing is you only get to duel yugi over and over again it gets pretty tedius after a while but it passes time.
