Great low end sound and lightweight, replaced my PX100 model. Mids and highs muddy but by replacing ear pads with pads from PX200 it improved the sound greatly.

Been using Koss Porta Pro for years so it was time to switch to something else. Something that is more sturdy in the same price range. So these came alone. PX 100 are disappointment mainly because of sound quality. They are lacking high frequency. The sound is rich in mid to low frequencies. Making these an average headphones. Same songs on Pandora on iPhone sounds dimmer with too much of cut off in these then on Koss. The cord is extra long that in some cases is great, but if the phone is in back pocket of your pants the cord needs to be wrapped and secured otherwise it touches the ground. PX100 sits on head OK if you are not moving, like sitting in front of PC or on airplane. Start moving and the phone support bridge will slide off into forehead. Forget about running with these on. They press on ear pretty good to the point of discomfort after longer time on, so they don’t fall off your head, but need to constantly adjust the support bridge. The most important part of the collapsible headphones are sound quality and comfort of longer use. In both cases it disappoints. Koss. Porta Pro - even with their wreak extra short cord and rather strange look is better choice in both categories. Where these shine is the sturdy design, easy to collapse and carry.Read full review

These replace the PX 100's that I had for years until the cord failed. The new version costs less, and rightfully so. They don't sound bad, just not as good as before. The lows are fine, but the mids and highs are less crisp and defined. Sort of muddy really. I use them for walking outside and they're fine for that so it's not a big deal, but an audiophile would probably not like them.

This is my second pair, so that should tell you something. My only complaint is that these phones, as well as most others, use very thin wire and eventually on channel or the other breaks and the wire is too thin to repair, so one channel gets lost. I do, however, appreciate that the wire goes into the phones on one side only, rather than as a V to each ear.

These are such high quality headphones for classical music. And light and handy because they fold. Such a shame Sennheiser have stopped making them. This is my 4th pair!!
