This Bud Wah has a true by-pass, response is great, definitely own tone & characteristics, responded well with other pedal effects, chrome finish, like heavy armor. Enjoy & be safe.

Pedal is alright if you're desperate for a wah, but I can't complain as I got a decent deal on it. If you're considering brand new, I'd go for something else. I much prefer my Vox over this wah

I have tried all well known wah pedals both vintage and new. After trying vintage crybaby, and vox wah pedals I picked out the black label Budda Budwah. To me it had the best vocal qualities of the vintage wile still retaining the cutting ability of a modern Morley type wah. So for both clean and dirty wah sounds the Black label Budwah stands above the rest. The purple label has a more metalic nasaly tone, the Budwah II has a more muffled mushy tone like a blanket over your amp effect. I don't know what they were doing at the begining but the black label to me sounds the most musical and clear of all wah pedals made.
The Purple Label Budda is simply the greatest Wah pedal ever constructed. Though the company may have started producing their first Wahs quite late in the music history (1997), they by far have perfected the sound of a perfect Wah. Blending the the perfect amount of beautiful wide sweep to the Wah. While at the same time rolling of those trebley, and piercing high that every single other Wah on the market has to offer. Also provided True-Bypass(Hard Wired), which allows you to retain your guitars particular sound and characteristics, Something that the Dunlop Wahs which are so famous, have never done to a single one of their Wahs to this day. No other Wah on the market offers such great smooth sounding Wah action. I'm sure that if the great gift Jimi Hendrix was still alive, he would be the first one to have bought one of these. Thank you Budda Amplification for your amazing and unique work in the Wah department. SimeonRead full review
I bought it instead of my Morley Mark Tremonti Wah. My previous Wah had too modern sounding for me. I looked for classic sound of Wah and stopped with Budwah. It has very smooth voicing, classic sounding without sucking your tone and adding noise. Built like a tank though battery holder isn't very convenient. Now I use wah more often. I got the 3rd revision of the model.
