Worked great
These bushings worked exactly as I had hoped. My car needed to have more initial timing but when I tried to do that with the msd supplied bushings, it ended up with too much total timing. I used the 14* bushing and that allowed 22* initial and 36 total and that is exactly what I wanted.

Some assembly required
The ones I received were too thick. Spent a lot of time with file making them thin enough to where they wouldn't bind in distributor. After I got them to fit, even then, they didn't always release back to pre advance position. Took out, polished and lubed, but still had same problem.....maybe it's just me or something I was doing, but not impressed... Stuck the old largest (black) ones from MSD back in, put heavy springs on, all is well now.....the ones I got we're not a direct replacement, drop in and go...... manufacturer did say some adjustments may be needed, but I personally could not get them to perform as I thought they should....maybe it's just me though.......The ones I received were too thick. Really made a difference
Had to file a little bit of each side on the 10 Degree bushing due to product variation in either the bushing or distributor plate. More than likely the distributor plate. Nonetheless - the bushing once fine tuned worked great. Engine runs fantastic ! Thanks for making this product..... Before I could not get enough initial advance in my mech distributor to get the engine to run properly without overshooting the mechanical advance ultimately leading to too much advance ALL IN for my engine. This helped solve the problem , I was able to bring in more initial which stabilized engine vacuum and actually picked up 3 inHg at idle once tuned, and also was able to lower the primary throttle blades on my Holley to get the engine back into the idle circuit of the carb. Great product but a little expensive. Would be a better value if you could order just the one bushing you need. If it was ~$25 or so would be a better value. But it is a quality well made piece true to specs.

Fixes problem
When I needed more initial timing on my MSD distributor but at the same time didn’t need to increase the overall timing this bushing kit was right on the money . I ended up using the 14 but now I have a 10 just in case I need more initial timing. So far the 14° bushing is working out good. I can start out at 22° And end up at 36° overall . It idles better and no spark knock . One thing I should point out is that I have an MSD digital six ignition box which does have a 20° spark retard when starting. If you don’t have some sort of spark retard , it may cause some issues with the starters such as kick back issues from the high initial timing be above normal. Just something to be aware of.
